The Client – A large global automobile manufacturer with multiple global plants

The Challenge – Multiple suppliers were sending multiple materials to the plant. These were not seamlessly coordinated with the supplier with limited visibility to the suppliers plans, the quantity often ended up being in excess or under supply leading to not only material mismatches but also inefficient utilization of warehouse spaces. This also led to an inefficient process post the vehicle reaching the plant with delays in the material being taken in for unloading and also 

The Solution – Implemented an end to end vendor coordination and material receipt process which covered everything from the dispatch of material to the plant to receipt, unloading and QC.
